Powerball jackpot hits $238M for June 10 drawing

Powerball jackpot – Powerball’s jackpot rose to $238 million (cash value $106.1 million) ahead of the Wednesday, June 10 drawing. The prize has rolled for more than a month since the last jackpot split on May 2, and tickets are available in 45 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.

The jackpot has been building for more than a month since the last time someone hit the top prize on May 2. when two players in Texas and Florida split a $20 million prize. Since Powerball launched in 1992. jackpots have been hit more than 400 times. with Indiana. Missouri. Minnesota. Pennsylvania and Wisconsin among the states with the most jackpot-winning tickets.

For the June 10 drawing, the Powerball numbers will be posted after the lottery drawing at 10:59 p.m. ET.

The rules are straightforward, and they’re part of what keeps the game moving across state lines. In 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. anyone—regardless of nationality—can purchase tickets from an authorized and licensed retailer. as long as they meet the legal age requirement at the point of purchase. usually 18 years old.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in those same jurisdictions. Players choose six numbers: five white balls numbered 1 to 69, plus one red Powerball numbered 1 to 26. Some buyers add “Power Play” for $1, which increases winnings for all non-jackpot prizes. The Power Play multiplier can be 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.

If you don’t want to pick, “Quick Pick” is available to let the computer select the numbers. To win the jackpot, players must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball.

Draws happen Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights. If no one wins the jackpot, the cash prize continues to rise, rolling forward to the next scheduled drawing.

Powerball’s biggest prizes have already left a long trail of winners. Among the top jackpots listed are $2.040 billion on Nov. 7, 2022 in California; $1.817 billion on Dec. 24, 2025 in Arkansas; $1.787 billion on Sept. 6, 2025 in Missouri and Texas; $1.765 billion on Oct. 11, 2023 in California; $1.586 billion on Jan. 13, 2016 in California, Florida and Tennessee; $1.326 billion on April 6, 2024 in Oregon; $1.080 billion on July 19, 2023 in California; $842.4 million on Jan. 1, 2024 in Michigan; $768.4 million on Mar. 27, 2019 in Wisconsin; and $758.7 million on Aug. 23, 2017 in Massachusetts.
