Powerball players will have another chance to win the top prize on Saturday, Sept. 12, after no one matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing. The jackpot has now climbed to an estimated $232 million, with a cash option of $98.6 million.
The prize has been growing since an Illinois ticket won a $1.04 billion jackpot on Aug. 12, ending one of the game’s biggest runs. Since then, a series of rollovers has pushed the jackpot higher, setting the stage for another shot at a multimillion-dollar payday when the next numbers are drawn.

USA TODAY will post the winning numbers after the drawing, which is scheduled for approximately 10:59 p.m. ET.
When is the next Powerball drawing?
The next Powerball drawing will be held Monday, Sept. 14, at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET.
Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

How to play Powerball
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Players select five white-ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. To win the jackpot, all six numbers must match the numbers drawn. Players can also add Power Play for an additional $1 to boost non-jackpot prizes.
Quick Pick, which lets a computer randomly select numbers, is also available.
Do you have to be a U.S. citizen to play Powerball?
No. Anyone who meets the legal age requirement in the jurisdiction where the ticket is purchased can play Powerball, regardless of citizenship or residency status.
