“Pluribus,” “I Love LA,” and “DTF St. Louis” each took top Gotham Television Awards program honors Monday night in New York City, with “Katrina: Come Hell and High Water,” Tim Robinson, Michael Shannon, Laurie Metcalf, and Claire Danes among additional winners
When the Gotham Television Awards moved into the spotlight Monday night in New York City, three titles set the pace—each one taking home a top program honor at Cipriani Wall Street.
Vince Gilligan’s “Pluribus” won Breakthrough Drama Series, while Rachel Sennott’s “I Love LA” claimed Breakthrough Comedy Series. Steven Conrad’s “DTF St. Louis” earned the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
“Katrina: Come Hell and High Water” landed Breakthrough Nonfiction Series, giving the night a second kind of momentum—one built on documented storytelling rather than fictional arcs.
The acting winners brought their own momentum to the ceremony. Tim Robinson won Outstanding Lead Performance in a Comedy Series for “The Chair Company.” Chase Infiniti took the Outstanding Lead Performance in a Drama Series for “The Testaments. ” and Michael Shannon won Outstanding Lead Performance in a Limited or Anthology Series for “Death by Lightning.”.
Laurie Metcalf was recognized in the supporting comedy category for “Big Mistakes,” Babou Ceesay won Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series for “Alien: Earth,” and David Harbour took Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Limited or Anthology Series for “DTF St. Louis.”
The awards also reached beyond TV series. “Reflection in a Dead Diamond” won Outstanding Original Film. Broadcast or Streaming. while Cory Michael Smith was named for film acting. Honorary awards went to Claire Danes (Performer Tribute). the Duffer Brothers (Visionary Tribute). Michelle Pfeiffer (Legend Tribute). Kerry Washington (Spotlight Tribute). and the cast of “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” (Ensemble Tribute).
