Pelosi Suggests Trump’s Mental State Should Be Reviewed Before Praise

Pelosi review – Nancy Pelosi told Jen Psaki that Donald Trump’s mental state should be examined, framing the comment as she moved away from attacking the president—just as she turned to celebrating Barack Obama’s legacy around the Obama Presidential Center’s Chicago opening o

Rep. Nancy Pelosi didn’t dodge the spotlight on Wednesday. Before she pivoted to what she called something “very hopeful,” the former House speaker delivered a blunt line about Donald Trump’s mental fitness—one he’ll likely find personal, and one Trump may not forgive.

“I think there’s some reason to review his mental state,” Pelosi said in an interview with MS NOW’s Jen Psaki. It was a remark from the same politician who has previously questioned Trump’s mental acuity on multiple occasions.

The exchange began after Psaki asked what was going through Pelosi’s mind while watching what Psaki described as “the monstrosity of the UFC fight, the effort to build a ballroom, the destruction of the East Wing” under Trump.

Pelosi responded by challenging the logic behind the events and projects she said took place in the White House orbit. “We all want the American president to succeed,” she said, then questioned why those choices were being treated as necessary.

“When you look at, say, ‘Oh, we need more security for the entertainment,’ Well, then do something about it, but don’t tear down the East Wing,” Pelosi said.

She then pushed back on where and how she believed public spectacles were being staged. “‘We want to have a fight on…’ Well have the fight. if that’s what people enjoy. have it in an auditorium or an arena that has been built for that. Don’t have that on the lawn and have disgraceful language at the White House,” she continued.

“No putting down having a fight. If that’s what people enjoy seeing, go to the arena. But don’t do that at the White House,” Pelosi added.

From there, she broadened the critique beyond any single event. “And then when you see so many of the other things that the president has fallen short on, it’s hard to understand,” she said.

But the interview didn’t stay anchored in Trump. Pelosi shifted gears abruptly. “But you know what? Forget… I’m here to talk about him. I want to talk about something very hopeful,” she said.

That “hopeful” focus turned to the Obama Presidential Center, which opens in Chicago on Friday. For Pelosi, the pivot wasn’t subtle: after a sharp, personal critique that touched Trump’s mental state, she moved straight to an event built to frame another era of leadership and legacy.

  1. Did she mean review his mental state or like… just his vibe? Cause people say stuff like that and then it’s never clear what the point is. Also the East Wing being “torn down” feels kinda exaggerated, no?

  2. I don’t even get why they’re bringing mental state into it like that. If they’re mad about the UFC stuff and the ballroom and security then say that, but diagnosing someone’s mind is wild. Next thing you know they’ll be like Obama’s opening proves something about Trump??

  3. Pelosi always talking “hopeful” and then goes straight for the jab. Like okay you can hate the events, but reviewing his mental state sounds like she’s trying to control the narrative. Also I swear I saw somewhere the East Wing thing was already fixed or not a real tear down, so idk. Meanwhile Chicago is opening a center so she pivoted to that real quick… seems like deflection.
