Patriots put P Bryce Baringer on IR, sign Mitch Wishnowsky to practice squad

The Patriots are set to have a new punter in Week 1.

The Patriots also placed linebacker Khalil Jacobs on injured reserve. Linebacker K.J. Britt and center Ben Brown were released while tight end Cameron Latu and linebacker Darius Muasau have been claimed off waivers, so the Patriots have a pair of open spots on the active roster.
The Patriots also signed S Mike Brown, WR Kyle Dixon, WR Cameron Dorner, DT Eric Gregory, RB Hassan Haskins, RB Lan Larison, T Lorenz Metz, DT Jeremiah Pharms Jr., OL Jacob Rizy, CB Kindle Vildor, and LB Riley Wilson to the practice squad.
