Onn’s new outdoor floodlight cam lands for $77

Walmart has started selling the Onn Outdoor Floodlight Camera Hardwired for $77, pairing 1080p video and a 130.5-degree field of view with Google Home and Gemini features.

A new outdoor security camera is hitting Walmart shelves with a price tag that’s hard to ignore: $77.

The Onn Outdoor Floodlight Camera Hardwired is available now at Walmart stores and on Walmart.com. It records in 1080p and offers a 130.5-degree field of view, built into a floodlight-equipped outdoor package.

The appeal doesn’t stop at the hardware specs. Like Walmart’s Outdoor Camera Plug-In, this floodlight model integrates with Google Home and Gemini. On the Google Home Premium Advanced plan, it’s positioned to deliver custom visual event-based alerts. It also includes the ability to ask Gemini about recorded video history using natural language.

If you’re trying to map the differences between the two Onn models, the floodlights may be the main change. The Floodlight Camera is described as essentially the Outdoor Camera Plug-In with floodlights added. while keeping the same key specs—1080p resolution and a 130.5-degree field of view—at the same $77 price.

That matters because it puts pressure on the pricing of Google’s own floodlight option. Google’s floodlight camera is listed at a retail price of $279.99 and is currently $100 off at many retailers. Even with that discount, it remains $100 more than the Onn model.

There’s still one unknown for shoppers weighing both systems: the source notes that the user experience between the two Onn outdoor cameras isn’t yet clear. What is clear is the shared foundation—similar specs paired with a “fuller” Google Home integration. and the Gemini features that can turn past recordings into something you can query in plain language.

For anyone shopping for an outdoor camera without wanting to jump to premium pricing. the Onn Outdoor Floodlight Camera Hardwired offers a straightforward pitch: pay $77. get 1080p coverage with a wide 130.5-degree view. and connect it to Google Home and Gemini through the Google Home Premium Advanced plan.

  1. Wait so it’s $77 but it’s also Google Home and Gemini? Sounds like a scam or they’re selling the data or something.

  2. 130.5 degrees is kinda weird like is that enough to see a whole driveway or just like… half of one. Also hardwired means an electrician will probably still find a way to charge me more.

  3. I don’t get why people would use Gemini to ask about video history like just look at the clip. And $279 vs $77? That Google one gotta be better or the Walmart one is missing something.

  4. So it’s basically the Outdoor Camera Plug-In but with floodlights… ok cool. But they say the user experience isn’t clear yet, which is always Walmart language for “it works until it doesn’t.” If the alerts are on the Google Home Premium Advanced plan too then you’re still paying extra anyway right? Also 1080p in 2026 feels low but whatever.
