Olivia Rodrigo Plays Surprise Show at Warsaw in Brooklyn, Sending Fans Into Frenzy
Olivia Rodrigo is performing a surprise show at Warsaw in Brooklyn on Thursday, August 6. The news was announced this morning, with the show expected to unfold this evening via Olivia Rodrigo’s official fan account on Instagram, Livies HQ, as well as Warsaw’s Instagram account in a collaborative post between the two.
Fans, along with regular folks casually walking by Warsaw in Brooklyn this morning, or those who were tipped off, had the chance to score some very coveted tickets to Olivia Rodrigo’s surprise show. The tickets were sold the old-school way, in person at the venue box office.
The announcement didn’t arrive until 10 a.m., when tickets went on sale. Understandably, many fans online were disappointed to only find out about the show right as tickets became available.
But that’s how the cookie crumbles with many of these secret and surprise shows at small venues. And with Olivia Rodrigo, an artist who sells out tours and is arguably one of the biggest pop stars in the world, it makes sense that tickets were announced publicly at the exact moment they went on sale. It’s a way to avoid a frenzy and essentially help with crowd control.
Several fans on social media applauded Warsaw’s kind and considerate security team, who managed the crowd flow with smiles and grace despite the high demand and 95-degree weather.
Fans who showed up around 11:20 a.m., according to reports, were turned away from waiting in line for wristbands, which gave fans a chance to purchase tickets.
According to several fans, wristbands stopped being distributed around 11:40 a.m. For those who did make the cut, they waited in a very long line that wrapped around the block in the sweltering heat.
So, if you had good karma and good luck on your side, you were at the right place at the right time. But let’s be real, there are always insiders who get tipped off. Either way, this is going to be an incredible experience for all the Livies out there. Warsaw only holds about 1,000 people, making this an especially intimate Olivia Rodrigo performance.
One fan on Instagram shared their appreciation for the venue’s staff:
“Just wanted to tell you guys you have probably the best staff ever. I told one of your security guards (forgot her name, sorry!) that this was one of the most organized, nicest, and most considerate venues I’ve ever seen for a concert with this much demand and in 95-degree weather. Thank you guys!!!”
As another fan joked, it was a “horrible day for employed people.”

Considering Olivia Rodrigo is such a kind soul with a massive fan base — many of whom won’t be able to make it to her upcoming Daisy Chain Fields festival — we wouldn’t be surprised if she announced more surprise shows. But I’m going to turn off my psychic powers for now before I say too much.
