His family can now rest a little easier after his body was returned to the United States following the helicopter crash in Brazil that took his life last weekend. On Sunday, a tribute post appeared on his official Instagram account, shifting the focus from the shock of the loss to what comes next.

The caption thanked everyone—from friends to fans—for reaching out with love and support. and it delivered the key update: “Oliver is now back in California where he can finally rest.” The post also pointed to his legacy. saying it will live on through his foundation/endowment named “Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Grant For Baby Geniuses” coming soon.

Tree’s foundation has been part of his story for some time. Earlier, he discussed it on his podcast with Zach Sang, saying his family wouldn’t be getting a penny after he died and that all the money would go to the foundation, which would distribute the dough to artists for years to come.

A representative for the family told MISRYOUM that Tree was on his way back home, and the return reportedly happened without incident.

Tree was 32. He was one of 6 people killed after two helicopters crashed in Brazil, and photos and videos taken in the South American country captured his final days.
