OG Anunoby thanks Knicks fans after Finals heroics

OG Anunoby capped a historic Knicks comeback in Game 4 with a game-turning tip-in and then told fans they’re “the best fans in the world,” as New York took a 3-1 lead and moved one win from its first title since 1973.
Madison Square Garden didn’t just shake after OG Anunoby’s shot went through — it nearly came apart.
With just over one second remaining in the fourth quarter of Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Anunoby tipped in a missed Jalen Brunson 3-point attempt to give the Knicks a one-point lead. The swing erased the San Antonio Spurs’ 29-point advantage and flipped the night into a kind of chaos Knicks fans won’t soon forget.
New York closed it out 107-106 at Madison Square Garden, taking a 3-1 lead in the championship series. For a franchise that hasn’t won an NBA title since 1973, the distance to the finish line is suddenly measurable — just one game.
During his postgame press conference, Anunoby made sure the people at the center of the comeback were heard. “We have the best fans in the world,” he said. “Every night, they’re showing out — even the fans that aren’t at the game, they’re crazy. I know you guys have seen the videos of the fans in the streets and stuff. It’s amazing. We all feel it.”.
Anunoby’s performance backed up the message. He finished with a playoff career-high 33 points, shooting 10/15 from the field and 7/9 from behind the 3-point arc.
The next chapter comes with Game 5 on Saturday, tipping off at 8:30 p.m. ET from San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center. One win would put an end to New York’s long championship wait — and it would cap a comeback that already feels like a turning point in Finals history.
