For a lot of people, the week’s viewing plan has already been decided. Louisa Levy’s Off Campus is still sitting at the top of Prime Video’s TV rankings this week, winning even more fans with its “fake” relationship story adapted from Elle Kennedy’s book series.
Starring Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli as Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham. the show has earned acclaim from both critics and fans. and it’s become a new genre favorite for many. But if the premise still isn’t pulling you in—or you just need something else to stack on your watchlist—Prime Video has plenty more.
‘Kevin’ (2026)
If you’re craving something strange and sweet underneath the chaos, Kevin brings it with adult-animated comedy. Created by Aubrey Plaza and Joe Wengert, the series follows the titular house cat, whose life takes an unexpected turn when his humans break up.
Kevin lands at a local pet rescue in Astoria. Queens. and the rest of the journey is all about self-discovery—plus. yes. plenty of hilariously uncomfortable situations. The voice cast is loaded too. Jason Schwartzman leads as Kevin. with Plaza. Whoopi Goldberg. John Waters. Aparna Nancherla. Gil Ozeri. Carey Elwes. and Amy Sedaris joining in as supporting characters.
Since its premiere on April 20, Kevin has had a mixed but generally favorable critical reception. Not every joke hits. but when it does. it really hits—enough to make it an entertainingly weird sitcom that’s surprisingly sweet. even as it leans heavily into gross-out body humor. It’s not built for everyone. but for pet parents and fans of Aubrey Plaza’s comedy style. it’s one of the most engaging—and often underrated—new comedies of the year.
‘Cross’ (2024–Present)
For a different kind of binge—grittier. case-driven. and built around the psychological toll of crime—Cross has become a strong option on Prime Video. Adapted from James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels. the series was created by Ben Watkins and stars Aldis Hodge as Washington. D.C. detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross.
Cross takes an anthology approach. Each season follows Cross through a high-profile, politically charged investigation while also digging into his personal psychological struggles.
The series features Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and more in other key roles.
The first season premiered in 2024 to mixed reviews, with criticism landing on its predictable narrative. But the story shifted with Season 2, released earlier in 2026, which has raised the bar for the series. It’s earned much better reviews and audience acclaim—becoming an enjoyable action show with interesting characters and original cases that capture the spirit of the source material without being a direct adaptation.
‘Gen V’ (2023–2025)
After The Boys’ series finale, Gen V is the spin-off that feels made for anyone who wants to stay in the same universe. Developed by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, the series is set at the prestigious Godolkin University School of Crimefighting.
There, young adult superheroes study the craft—until their lives get tangled up in secret politics and the constant machinations of the superhero world.
The cast is expansive, anchored by Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Shelley Conn, Hamish Linklater, Sean Patrick Thomas, and the late Chance Perdomo in lead roles.
Gen V first released in September 2023 and became a hit with critics and fans alike. It got even more fascinating in its second season, which premiered in September 2025. Although the show was canceled, the two-season run remains a must-watch for The Boys fans.
It works because it does more than just deliver franchise chaos and gore. It also leans into a character-driven, New Adult vibe, following the relatable struggles of college-aged adults—right in the middle of a superpowered world.
