Bob Odenkirk reprised Saul Goodman in a new YouTube video posted Sunday to mark America’s 250th birthday, urging viewers to remember their rights. The spot recreates Saul’s office look, complete with “We the People” wallpaper, and ends with a surprise cameo fr

On Sunday, Bob Odenkirk stepped back into the suit-and-smirk persona of Saul Goodman with a message that sounded like a joke until it didn’t.

“Hi!. I’m Saul Goodman. Did you know you have rights?” Saul says in a short video posted to YouTube. adding that those rights are “old-timey. ” written “by a bunch of guys in powdered wigs and knee socks.” Then the character pivots from mockery to warning: “But believe it or not. they’re still surprisingly relevant.”.

The video places Odenkirk in front of the same “We the People” wallpaper that appeared in his character’s office in both AMC series. and he’s dressed in one of Saul’s signature tacky. colorful suits while wearing one of the character’s ear pieces. He tells viewers to remember what their rights include—listing “Freedom of speech. freedom of assembly. freedom of the press. freedom against unreasonable searches and seizures. etc. etc.”—and then delivers the kind of punchline Saul always turns into something darker: “Wow. you lucky so-and-so. Look at you. You got rights coming out the wazoo!”.

He frames the milestone as something personal, too. “All because a whole bunch of good people. 250 years’ worth. sacrificed everything they had for this awesome wallpaper behind me. ” Saul concludes. The message ends with a clear directive: “Know your rights. And for the love of Mike, don’t ever give them up.”.

The final beat lands with an unexpected cameo. The video closes with Jonathan Banks briefly reprising his role as fixer Mike Ehrmantraut, who tells viewers, “I’m Mike, and I approve this message.”

The timing follows a quiet gap since “Better Call Saul” ended its six-season run. It has been nearly four years since the co-creators—Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould—wrapped up the acclaimed “Breaking Bad” prequel.

During the show’s time on television, Odenkirk received six Emmy nominations for his nuanced, layered lead performance.

Gould shared the video as well, posting it on Bluesky with the simple note, “Here’s something…” After some fans expressed concern, he later confirmed, “This is not AI!”
