“The Drama,” starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya as an engaged couple whose relationship gets slightly blown up, debuts on HBO Max. But all the services are getting into the action. Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway reprise their fashionably frenemy characters in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on Hulu and Disney+. Chris Pratt and Charlie Day’s cartoon plumbers deal with cartoonish mayhem and an evil father-son duo in “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” on Peacock. And Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor are besties facing murderous sea life in the shark flick “The Devil’s Mouth” on Prime Video.

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’
The sequel to the stylish 2006 original brings Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) back into the lives of mercurial editrix Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) and her loyal No. 2 Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci) to help save fashion magazine Runway. This “Devil” runs back a lot, but “Prada 2” surprises as a rather honest look at modern media.

‘The Devil’s Mouth’
A lot of shark movies take place in the open water but there’s something nice and claustrophobic about the ones in enclosed spaces. Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor star in the horror movie about a group of friends exploring a dangerous and watery cave system in Thailand when they’re stalked by a very determined bull shark.

‘The Drama’
Robert Pattinson and Zendaya play a Boston couple whose wedding week is going pretty well until one of them drops a nuclear truth bomb that threatens to derail their entire relationship. The dark rom-com breaks out a “Wow, they really went there” twist and asks big questions with a satirical edge and an impressively brazen streak.

‘Masters of the Universe’
Like sugary breakfast cereal in movie form, the action adventure admirably commits to the outrageous fantasy world of the 1980s toy/cartoon franchise. Nicholas Galitzine stars as Prince Adam – and his buff alter ego He-Man – who returns to his homeland of Eternia to reunite with old friends and battle evil, over-the-top Skeletor (Jared Leto).

‘Mortal Kombat II’
In the bloody sequel – based on the popular video game, of course – Karl Urban debuts as Johnny Cage, a washed-up martial-arts movie star who gets picked to defend Earth in an otherworldly fighting tournament. Adeline Rudolph also plays an integral role as warrior princess Kitana in the flick full of crazy moves and extremely gory finishes.

‘Obsession’
In this gory and gonzo take on the “monkey’s paw” trope – and one of the best movies so far this year – Bear (Michael Johnston) is a lovelorn guy who uses a mysterious trinket to wish his co-worker Nikki (Inde Navarrette) would love him. She shows him a whole lot of adoration, all right, to a deeply unsettling and unhinged degree.

‘A Private Life’
The noir-ish French mystery thriller casts Jodie Foster as a psychiatrist who turns amateur detective. After a patient of hers dies of an overdose with a mysterious message in her hands and the woman’s husband lashes out, the doctor investigates whether the death was suicide or something more nefarious.

‘Saccharine’
Midori Francis (“Grey’s Anatomy”) stars in the supernatural thriller as a binge-eating medical student who figures out that consuming human ashes leads to rapid weight loss. The good news is dropping pounds – the bad news comes when she’s haunted by the bloated, horrifying cadaver that she’s been eating.

’72 Hours’
Kevin Hart stars in the comedy as a 40-year-old ad man who gets accidentally added to a group text and invited to a three-day bachelor party in Miami by a group of 20-somethings. But as he’s unable to connect with a younger generation at his job, he struggles in life as well, bringing trouble and chaos to the young dudes’ party plans.

‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’
Video-game plumbers Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) return in the animated sequel. With new friends including dinosaur Yoshi (Donald Glover) and charismatic pilot Fox McCloud (Glen Powell), the bros have to stop the interplanetary shenanigans of villainous Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie) as well as rescue space princess Rosalina (Brie Larson).
