And yes, it’s another Netflix moment where the “normal life” phase is apparently cursed.
For pure, blunt disaster-movie energy, Thrash is there too—when a Category 5 hurricane decimates a coastal town, the storm surge brings devastation, chaos, and something far more frightening: hungry sharks. It’s the sort of premise that feels engineered for social sharing. One minute you’re bracing for the weather, the next minute the ocean is the problem, and nobody’s laughing quietly.
There are plenty of other titles rounding out the week, and they each seem to be aimed at a different kind of viewer. Scream brings a new Ghostface to terrorize teens 25 years after Woodsboro’s first killing spree, forcing old friends to reunite. Temptation Island Season 2 drops four couples testing their bonds by splitting up and sharing a villa with alluring singles. Turn of the Tide lands as a finale where friends go after justice—defying authorities and fighting gangs for a better future in Rabo de Peixe.
Around all that, Netflix also leans into documentaries and international picks. Untold: Jail Blazers follows Portland’s championship-caliber NBA team imploding under volatile players, criminal charges, and national headlines. Made with Love brings an Indonesian series where Luka (Mawar de Jongh) has to work alongside Dennis (Deva Mahenra) to save her mother’s restaurant, even though she hates him. And if your taste is more mystery-game than tragedy, Million Dollar Secret adds a lakeside estate twist: fourteen strangers, glamorous rooms, a mysterious box in each—thirteen empty, one containing $1,000,000, with identity hidden as the stakes get higher.
So, yeah. April 10–16 looks like a full card: fights, betrayals, storms with teeth, and a few titles that just scream “watch this tonight.” And if you’re wondering where to start—maybe begin with the live event on April 11, then let BEEF pull you into the mess.
