Netanyahu calls Beaufort capture a dramatic shift

Known as Qalaat al-Shaqif in Arabic, the castle was built by French crusaders in the 12th century. It is near Nabatieh and its position is 700m (2,300ft) above sea level and affords whoever controls it a view over southern Lebanon and northern Israel. Beaufort castle, Qalaat al-Shaqif, Nabatieh, Benjamin Netanyahu, Hezbollah, Upper Galilee, southern Lebanon, northern Israel, May 31 2026, French crusaders, medieval castle
So they “captured” it and now it’s a dramatic shift? Sounds like marketing tbh.
Beaufort castle built by French crusaders?? I feel like they’re acting like it’s some new tech base. Also Hezbollah is always “at fault” in these headlines, idk, I’m confused.
Wait didn’t we just hear this same thing last month about them taking another hill? Like how is a castle even useful if the view is already there. Plus 700m sounds fake, like 700 miles or something. Either way seems like Netanyahu just wants cameras.
Smoke rises, tanks move, and now it’s “dramatic.” I mean I get it’s strategic, but this is gonna drag on forever. Also why does it say Upper Galilee like that’s in Lebanon? Sounds switched up.
