MLB scores – From a 13-inning Yankees shutout to lopsided divisional leads, Sunday’s and Monday’s MLB results reshuffled the standings across the American and National Leagues—and set up a full slate of Tuesday games.

In the West, Oakland is not shown in the West table, but the standings list the Athletics at 27-26 (.509), followed by Seattle at 25-29 (.463) (2½ back), Texas at 24-29 (.453) (3 back), Houston at 24-31 (.436) (4 back), and Los Angeles at 20-34 (.370) (7½ back).
The National League picture mirrors the volatility. Atlanta leads the NL East at 36-18 (.667). Washington is 28-27 (.509), 8½ games behind, Philadelphia is 27-27 (.500), 9 back, Miami is 26-29 (.473), 10½ back, and New York is 22-32 (.407), 14 back.
In the NL Central, Milwaukee is 31-20 (.608). St. Louis is 29-23 (.558), 2½ behind, Chicago is 29-25 (.537), 3½ back, Cincinnati is 28-25 (.528), 4 back, and Pittsburgh is 28-26 (.519), 4½ behind.
The NL West is topped by Los Angeles at 34-20 (.630). San Diego is 31-22 (.585), 2½ back, Arizona is 29-24 (.547), 4½ back, San Francisco is 22-32 (.407), 12 back, and Colorado is 20-35 (.364), 14½ back.
Sunday’s results across leagues underlined how quickly momentum can swing. In the American League, Pittsburgh beat Toronto 4-1. Baltimore defeated Detroit 5-3 in the first game of a doubleheader, and Baltimore later won 4-1 in the second game. The Yankees shut out Tampa Bay 2-0. Cleveland edged Philadelphia 3-1. Kansas City topped Seattle 8-6. Minnesota won 6-5 over Boston. Houston beat Chicago Cubs 8-5. San Francisco beat Chicago White Sox 8-5. The Athletics beat San Diego 5-2.
Monday carried its own jolt. Chicago White Sox beat Minnesota 3-1. Baltimore beat Tampa Bay 9-7 in 13 innings. The Yankees beat Kansas City 4-3. Washington beat Cleveland 10-2. Houston beat Chicago 9-5—while Houston also beat Texas 9-0 on Monday. Miami beat Toronto 8-2. Kansas City and New York both posted late-game results, and Seattle was scheduled at Athletics for 9:40 p.m.
For the American League Tuesday slate, games begin with Washington (Cavalli 2-3) at Cleveland (Cantillo 4-1) at 6:10 p.m. Tampa Bay (Jax 1-2) faces Baltimore (Baz 1-5) at 6:35 p.m. L.A. National League action also showed the gap between teams can be small—and the difference can be one swing. Sunday’s NL games included Pittsburgh 4-1 over Toronto, Cleveland 3-1 over Philadelphia, Miami 4-0 over N.Y. Mets, and L.A. Dodgers 5-1 over Milwaukee. Houston beat Chicago Cubs 8-5.
