They posed together on the red carpet with arms wrapped in the easy warmth of co-stars who’ve put the past behind them. Millie Bobby Brown, 22, and David Harbour, 51, were seen hugging and laughing as they attended the final season’s premiere.
Not long before that, the internet had been running on feud speculation. Unverified rumors claimed she had accused him of harassment and bullying ahead of filming for season five of Stranger Things. But when Harbour finally addressed the chatter a couple weeks ago. he explained his side of the story for the first time.
Now the next step is official—and it looks like the dispute narrative never had much room to survive in real life.
Netflix has ordered their new series straight-to-series. and Brown and Harbour are reuniting once again—this time as an estranged father-daughter duo. The show follows disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe. who is pulled back into the world he left behind when his daughter. Rebecca—an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps—vanishes on a mission. Her disappearance forces Wolfe back into a field that has evolved beyond him.
The series is created by Jack Thorne, who wrote all of the Enola Holmes movies for Millie. Thorne also co-created Netflix’s shows Adolescence and Lord of the Flies.
Millie’s involvement in the project doesn’t end with starring. Her husband, Jake Bongiovi, is listed as one of the executive producers, along with her dad, Robert Brown.
Jinny Howe, Netflix’s Head of Scripted Series, U.S. and Canada. said the platform is “delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before.” She added that Thorne’s approach to finding “the deeply human story inside a thriller” stands out. and pointed to the dynamic between Brown and Harbour—“estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis”—as something audiences will be eager to watch. Howe also said A24 is “the perfect partner” to bring the story to Netflix’s members around the world.
