Dodgers go all in, Yankees come up short as MLB trade deadline passes

Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout and legendary golfer Tiger Woods collaborated on a new golf course, and provided a preview of it with a shared post on social media.
The venue is located in Trout’s birthplace of Vineland, New Jersey, and opened in April.
“Having Trout National open is a true full-circle moment,” Trout said in a post on X back in April. “What started as a hometown vision is now a reality, built alongside an incredible group of family, friends, and partners who believed in it from the start. Grateful for all of you. Thank you!”
The course, named Trout National, is a par-72 course with a layout that stretches over 7,500 yards across 280 acres of rolling hills and reclaimed quarries, according to the website for Woods’ course design company.
The course is expected to be limited to an exclusive club of just 227 members. The 27 is a tribute to Trout’s jersey number.
“This golf course is going to be quite challenging,” Tiger Woods said in a video he narrated on his Instagram.
The course already has provided a challenging moment for Trout and his teammates.
Trout hosted his teammates at the course while on a road trip during an off day before starting a series with the Baltimore Orioles. The off day happened to fall in line with the MLB trade deadline.
Four of Trout’s teammates received phone calls from Angels interim general manager John Mozeliak on the course, according to MLB reporter Ken Rosenthal, and were told they were being traded.
“It was pretty wild watching everybody go,” said Kirby Yates, a 12-year veteran who was among the teammates traded. “None of us have ever seen that many guys get traded at once.
“After somebody went, we just kept saying, ‘All right, who’s next?'”
