Meghan Markle Returning to Acting in Major New Project as She & Prince Harry Move Back to UK
The reason why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are moving back to the UK has been revealed.
If you didn’t see the shocking news, it was revealed earlier this week that Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be making the move back overseas with their two kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.
People is now reporting that the family is moving back to UK because Meghan, 45, is returning to acting in a major new project.
While details are being kept under wraps, this upcoming project marks Meghan‘s most significant role since she left her hit show Suits back in 2018.
The project was first reported by news.com.au royal correspondent Bronte Coy, who told BBC Radio Four’s Today program on Friday (August 21), “I’m told it’s significant, and she’s very excited about it.”
When it was first revealed that Meghan and Harry, 41, were moving back to the UK, it was said that the move is not permanent, but that they will be re-locating for an extended period of time and that their young kids will being going to to school in the UK.
They are planning to keep their Montecito home, and their home in Portugal. This UK home will be a non-royal home.
The couple’s business ventures – including Meghan‘s As ever brand, their Archewell Productions, and their Archewell Philanthropies charitable foundation – will remain based in the United States. Harry will continue his charitable work in both the UK and the US, including preparations for his next Invictus Games, which are set to take place in Birmingham, England, in July 2027.
Meghan was starring as Rachel Zane on Suits when she met Harry in 2016. She filmed her final episodes of the long-running legal drama in late 2017 ahead of their 2018 wedding when she announced she was leaving acting behind to begin a “new chapter.”
Last year, Meghan officially returned to acting when she joined the cast of the upcoming movie Close Personal Friends.
