Martha Stewart, while chatting with USA TODAY during Super Bowl weekend, explains why she’s “feeling a little bit down” right now over immigration.
Martha Stewart is an interior design guru, but even she can appreciate the outer beauty of personal maintenance.
The TV personality and media mogul, known for her platinum blonde bob, unveiled a bold new hairstyle in a social media video with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton Sunday Aug. 9.
Stewart, 85, sat in a chair beside Appleton while the beautician ran his fingers through her blonde locks. Dressed in a plush white robe, Stewart then began lip-syncing a line from the fashion comedy “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” telling Appleton, “Pull yourself together, we have work to do. And by we, I mean you.”
The video then quickly transitioned to a clip of Stewart modeling her new look: a vibrant crop of light pink hair. The “Martha Stewart Living” host pouted for the camera while Appleton tousled Stewart’s freshly dyed tresses.
“Welcome to the rose gold era ” Appleton captioned the video.
In a follow-up post, Appleton gave his full stamp of approval to Stewart’s hair transformation. “Rose gold …. It’s a good thing ” he wrote, referencing Stewart’s iconic catchphrase.
Appleton, who’s worked with other A-list stars such as Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, opened up about his approach to hairstyling in a January interview with USA TODAY.
“I think my biggest passion is for someone to really be authentic to what their story is, whatever that is,” Appleton said. “If that means you wanted to wear a lot of makeup and only take pictures in certain lights, that’s you. Or if you want to be makeup-free and own that, too. … That is very powerful, not to be so influenced by trends or actually knowing what’s right for you and owning that and what works for you.”

Stewart’s hair transformation earned praise from several of her fans in the comments section, who applauded the media mogul’s color change.
