Marshawn Kneeland’s girlfriend welcomes Makhai after his death

Marshawn Kneeland’s – Catalina Mancera announced the birth of their son, Makhai, on June 11—seven months after Marshawn Kneeland died at 24 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
On June 11, Catalina Mancera announced that her and Marshawn Kneeland’s first child had arrived.
She shared that their son. named Makhai. was born on that date. and posted photos of the infant. including one showing Makhai in a onesie with a design of his dad’s Dallas Cowboys jersey woven into the fabric. Mancera also included a video of Marshawn flashing a warm smile as she showed her positive pregnancy test.
Mancera’s announcement lands seven months after Kneeland died at 24 from what was described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound during an apparent mental health episode last November.
Authorities said Mancera alerted them after Kneeland sent loved ones concerning messages and indicated he would “end it all.” Authorities in Frisco. Texas then attempted to pull him over for a traffic violation during a pursuit. The chase ended when he crashed his car and fled; his body was found later inside a portable toilet.
After Kneeland’s death, the Dallas Cowboys honored him with a locker. Coach Brian Schottenheimer remembered him as “the most playful spirit of any young man” he’d been around.
