Man United agree £10m-plus Amazon deal for All or Nothing

Manchester United have agreed a record deal with Amazon Prime Video for exclusive behind-the-scenes access next season, with filming due to begin in pre-season and the series arriving in 2027 across 240 countries. The shift comes after former head coach Ruben

The first signs of the cameras coming back were already familiar to the people working at Old Trafford and Carrington. This time, though, the decision wasn’t about whether filming could happen. It was about the price tag—and about how quickly Manchester United were willing to change course.

Manchester United have agreed a record deal with Amazon Prime for exclusive behind-the-scenes access at the club next season. The club will be featured in the popular All or Nothing documentary series, a format that follows elite sides through the highs and lows of a campaign.

United are set to follow Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham in landing a Prime feature, with the fee understood to be in excess of the £10m paid by the streaming giant to those Premier League rivals.

The turnaround matters because it directly connects to one man’s refusal. Former United head coach Ruben Amorim refused to allow cameras behind the scenes at Old Trafford and Carrington. believing it would be a distraction for the players. Club sources now believe the time is right for filming. saying the documentary fits United’s desire to be open and as transparent as possible to a global fanbase of more than one billion.

“All or Nothing: Manchester United” is due to come to Amazon Prime Video in 2027, with the series airing to 240 countries worldwide.

Filming is scheduled to start in pre-season, with the focus set on the first-team as well as the women’s and academy sides. The documentary will follow United through what the club describe as a ‘transformative summer’ and the rest of the campaign, as they return to the Champions League.

Prime’s own leadership framed the appeal in global terms. Tara Erer, head of Prime’s UK film and unscripted television and northern European originals, said: ‘Manchester United is more than a football club: it is a global phenomenon. All or Nothing: Manchester United was a story we had to tell.

‘From Old Trafford to every corner of the world, there is no club that commands this level of passion, history and obsession. That is exactly the kind of story we want to tell, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to customers everywhere.’

Manchester United chief communications officer Toby Craig added that the timing is now about fans being closer to the reality of the club. He said: ‘Now is the right time to open our doors. so that for the first time our fans around the world can see behind the scenes of a club which means so much to so many people.

‘This documentary will showcase Manchester United’s unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington.

‘We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League.’

The documentary is expected to include stars such as Matheus Cunha, Luke Shaw and Amad Diallo.

Behind the scenes, the deal reflects a longer hunt for the right platform. Insiders say discussions have taken place with a number of platforms over the years. Amazon’s track record covering Premier League teams. as well as the All Blacks and a number of US sports franchises. is cited as part of why it is seen as a strong fit.

The new United agreement also underlines how the appetite for behind-the-scenes access is moving fast across top clubs. Last week, it emerged that City have sold behind-the-scenes access of Pep Guardiola’s final two seasons as manager to Amazon for a multi-million-pound figure.

A four-part documentary will be released over the summer, although a title for the series has yet to be rubberstamped. The deal with Prime Video is understood to eclipse the seven-figure sum that Netflix paid for the series documenting the 2023 Treble campaign.
