Man dies of heart attack while dragging girlfriend’s body

A man suffered a fatal heart attack while dragging the lifeless body of his girlfriend – whom he is suspected of murdering – through the woods, according to post-mortem findings. Jessica Folds, a mother-of-three from Lanett, Alabama, and her alleged killer Both Daniel Robbins, 44, of Macon, Georgia, were discovered deceased on June 10 in a woodland area near the small, rural community where Folds was raised. The body of the 47-year-old mum was found with her hands raised above her head, just a few
miles from her residence, Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson informed local news channel WTVM. A post-mortem examination confirmed she had been strangled. Robbins’ body was found adjacent to hers, curled up in the foetal position. Police noted a distinct ‘drag path’ at the scene. Police have not disclosed the exact duration of the couple’s relationship, but public records reveal that the mother and grandmother lost her husband of five years in February of the previous year. Although the location of her alleged murder remains uncertain,
police suspect Robbins killed Folds during a domestic violence incident the night before, reports the Mirror . District Attorney (DA) Mike Segrest stated that officials believe he was attempting to dispose of her body when he suffered a fatal heart attack. Segrest said: “He died of a heart attack while doing it. Their bodies were right there together.” Authorities were alerted to the wooded area around midday on June 10 after a passerby spotted an abandoned vehicle next to a dirt road with its engine
still running. The driver’s side door was open, and the tailgate had been lowered, added the DA. From this point, police followed drag marks through the dirt. The marks began at the ground beside the lowered tailgate and truck bed and ended in the scrub where police discovered the two bodies lying in the dirt. The passer-by who found the car and deceased couple initially mistook their remains for mannequins, the county sheriff told local TV news station WTVM. Folds leaves behind three adult sons
and two grandchildren. Her obituary reads: “Jessica lived and worked many places in the Auburn-Opelika area. Jessica touched the lives of many with her heart of gold, deep love for everyone, and smile that brightened the world.” Robbins was a father to one daughter. His obituary has been taken down from the website of the funeral home that is handling his remains for burial. The police have yet to disclose a motive for the alleged murder, which continues to be under investigation. For the latest

Heart attack while dragging a body… man idk that seems unreal.
So he strangled her and then just kept dragging until he dropped? Like is that what they’re saying. Also why the vehicle was running with the door open??
I think the DA is basically saying “he died doing it” which is wild, but also heart attacks don’t usually happen that fast? Unless he was already sick or something. The hands up part makes it sound staged to me, like why wouldn’t they just say where she died.
Drag path started at the truck and ended in the scrub… okay but how far is “a few miles” like from her place? I keep thinking maybe she was already dead and he was trying to hide it, then got stressed and boom. And the part about the passerby thinking mannequins?? that alone makes me feel like the whole story is being mixed up or idk. Prayers to the kids though, sad all around.
