It’s that time of the year again when the gaming community and NFL players at large react to the ratings in a video game. Madden NFL 27 will be available for purchase on Aug. 13 (early access available Aug. 6 and Aug. 10) and EA Sports revealed the top 10 quarterbacks in this year’s game on July 29.

Only two quarterbacks hit the headline 99 ratings in 2026: Matthew Stafford, the league’s reigning Most Valuable Player, and Buffalo Bills signal-caller Josh Allen, who won the MVP award in 2025. Four others, Los Angeles Rams defensive end Myles Garrett, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, were also rated 99 overall.

In this case, someone has to have the worst rating amongst the most important position in football, and that belongs to Baltimore Ravens backup Joe Fagnano, who has a 59 overall rating among the top-10 quarterbacks and rookie signal callers listed.

Here’s a look at the top-rated signal callers in the league, according to the upcoming game’s preseason ratings:
