With just four months left in the year, businesses nationwide are moving forward with expansion plans, including home improvement stores like Lowe’s.

The North Carolina-based company has three openings left, including a store in West Katy, part of the Houston area, the company said in a news release emailed to USA TODAY. The store will open its doors on Friday, Sept. 4.

“Katy is growing fast and we’re excited to help support this community’s growth and be a resource for our neighbors for generations to come,” Store Manager Mike Spall said in the release.

Lowe’s has over 1,750 home improvement stores, 540 branches and 120 distribution centers. Here’s what we know about the Houston area store and the other two openings slated for 2026.
