Lovable expands Google Cloud deal, boosting AI and security

Lovable expands – Lovable, the Stockholm “vibe-coding” startup, has signed a multi-year expansion with Google Cloud that will increase its usage on the platform fivefold, including AI workloads. The deal also brings expanded access to Anthropic’s Claude and Google’s Gemini mode

When Lovable started using Google Cloud, it was already leaning hard into AI for coding. Now it wants much more of it—and Google is letting it. The fast-growing Stockholm vibe-coding startup announced an expanded multi-year collaboration on Wednesday. aiming to grow its presence on Google Cloud by five times. including AI usage.

The companies did not disclose the dollar figure. Still. a person with knowledge of the deal says the agreement includes a fivefold increase in Lovable’s footprint on Google Cloud. That same person says the expansion also brings Lovable expanded access to both Anthropic’s Claude—an AI model widely used for coding tasks—and Google’s own Gemini models.

For Anthropic, the timing carries weight. Google invested $10 billion in Anthropic in cash and compute credits in April. promising another $30 billion if Anthropic hits certain performance targets. That investment came at a $350 billion valuation—just one month before Anthropic raised a $65 billion round that valued the company at nearly $1 trillion. This latest arrangement, the person adds, positions Lovable as a vehicle that could help Anthropic reach its targets.

Lovable’s growth story is part of the pitch. The startup says it crossed $400 million in annualized revenue in February, after adding $100 million in a single month with just 146 employees. It also claims that more than half of Fortune 500 companies use its product in some fashion.

The deal isn’t limited to model access. Lovable’s new agent will be offered through Google Cloud’s enterprise agent marketplace, the Gemini Enterprise Agent Gallery. The two companies first telegraphed that direction at Google’s major U.S. cloud conference in April.

There’s also a security layer to the rollout. Lovable says it will integrate with Wiz. Google’s biggest-ever acquisition at $32 billion. which officially closed only in March. a year after it was announced. With Wiz embedded. the integration will allow Wiz to identify and remediate security problems in real time—an increasingly central requirement for enterprises that let both humans and AI touch production systems.

Google’s commercialization plan is straightforward: by placing Lovable’s agents in a marketplace, enterprise procurement and billing will be simplified. That, in turn, is meant to make it easier for Lovable to land more enterprise customers.

For Google, the math is tied to spending. The cloud giant plans to spend $180 billion to $190 billion in capital expenditures this year. It is already selling a record-breaking $85 billion in equity to cover some of that. leaving roughly another $100 billion or so to go. Keeping both Lovable and Anthropic growing through enterprise demand helps feed that broader push for scale.
