Olivia Rodrigo surprises fans at Smashing Pumpkins Lollapalooza set
In their first Lollapalooza performance since 1994, The Smashing Pumpkins welcomed several guests onto the stage, including Olivia Rodrigo.
Due to heavy rains throughout the Chicagoland area, the opening of doors at Lollapalooza has been delayed on Saturday, Aug. 1.
Instead of opening at 11 a.m. CT, doors will open at 2 p.m., CT, the music festival said in a social media post and text update sent to attendees around 9:30 a.m. CT. The festival has not shared how the lineup will be affected by the delay, as of 10 a.m. CT.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Chicago early on Aug. 1. Weather hazards expected include limited thunderstorms and elevated flooding.
A flood warning is in effect until 1 p.m. CT on Aug. 1, per the NWS. As of 9 a.m. CT, the NWS had recorded between several inches of rain throughout the city.
