Lindsie Chrisley arrest lands as family’s legal saga continues

Lindsie Chrisley Campbell was arrested in Georgia on May 24 on suspicion of DUI and related charges, later posting nearly $6,000 bond. Her arrest arrives amid a long record of legal trouble across the Chrisley family—ranging from Todd and Julie Chrisley’s 2022

On Sunday, May 24, Lindsie Chrisley Campbell’s name surfaced in court records again—this time in Cherokee County, Georgia—after she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

She was 36 when she was booked on charges that included DUI, attempting to elude police, reckless driving, speeding, and improper passing, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. She was released later that day on an almost $6,000 bond.

The incident lands as the Chrisley family remains tied to a wider history of legal fights and criminal cases that have stretched years and different states.

Campbell’s arrest comes with a detail that has become part of the family’s public record: she said she would “fight the charge” and described what happened after being pulled over. In remarks provided to TMZ. she said. “I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was.” The arrest was tied to suspicion of a DUI less safe statute in Georgia. which allows for a DUI charge when a driver’s blood alcohol level is below the legal limit of 0.08%.

Todd and Julie Chrisley’s prison terms—then Trump pardons—set the stage for the family’s broader legal narrative. The couple. who rose to fame on the television series “Chrisley Knows Best” (running for 10 seasons from 2014 until 2023). reported to prison for their 2022 convictions on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion.

A jury convicted Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley in June 2022. Prosecutors had accused them of conspiring to defraud community banks in Atlanta out of more than $36 million. including a scheme that defrauded the IRS and involved tax evasion through fraudulent loans. Julie Chrisley was also convicted on an additional count of obstruction of justice and wire fraud.

Todd initially received a sentence of 12 years and Julie received seven years, though both sentences were later reduced. They began serving time on Jan. 17, 2023.

Their release came in May 2025 after President Donald Trump issued them full pardons. Trump also told Savannah Chrisley on May 27, 2025 that he was issuing those pardons for her parents, saying they were “going to be free and clean.”

But while Todd and Julie’s legal matter ended with pardons, other family members’ disputes did not.

Kyle Chrisley, 34, faces ongoing litigation tied to assault-related allegations. He was most recently arrested in December and is currently facing charges that include suspicion of domestic assault. three counts of assaulting an officer. resisting arrest. public intoxication. disorderly conduct. and three counts of retaliation. according to Rutherford County court records reviewed by USA TODAY. He was released on an $88,000 bond as he awaits upcoming court dates.

An arrest affidavit obtained by WSMV describes Kyle Chrisley allegedly acting belligerently, jumping out of a vehicle, making suicidal and homicidal threats, and punching several officers who attempted to detain him during the incident.

The record also shows earlier arrests: Kyle Chrisley was arrested in 2023 and again in 2024, both on allegations of aggravated assault. Kyle Chrisley and wife Ashleigh Chrisley later sued the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office for $1.7 million over the 2024 arrest. claiming he was not the aggressor in the situation. Proceedings in that matter are currently ongoing.

Another case that has shaped how the family’s legal headlines have followed them is Chase Chrisley’s arrest in early 2025.

Chase Chrisley, 29, was arrested in January 2025 on suspicion of a “simple assault” following an incident at Twin Peaks sports bar in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood on the night of Jan. 6, 2025, according to a police report obtained by USA TODAY.

In the report. the alleged victim said Chase Chrisley “became really drunk” inside the bar and “started to act very disrespectful and belligerent.” After the victim asked him to leave “multiple times. ” the report states that the TV personality “slapped him in the face twice” and “refused to leave and started acting more belligerent.” The report says the alleged victim was not injured and “refused medical attention.”.

Chase Chrisley’s lawyers issued a statement at the time to outlets including People and The Associated Press: “Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home. He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave.”

Later, the series finale of Lifetime’s “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” released Sept. 16, said Chase Chrisley entered rehab amid struggles with alcohol and substance abuse.

Even before those arrests, Campbell had already accused her father and brother of wrongdoing—allegations that were publicly denied and eventually dismissed.

In 2019, Campbell alleged in a Georgia police report that Todd and Chase Chrisley blackmailed her with a sex tape she made. She claimed they threatened to publish it unless she lied about an “incident,” according to a police report obtained by E! News and TMZ.

Todd and Chase Chrisley denied the allegations. Todd told USA TODAY in a statement at the time that it was “heartbreaking and shameful that these kinds of accusations have to be aired in public.” Chase said. “I am heartbroken over these false allegations by my sister — and they are totally false — and so are my parents and the rest of our family.”.

Campbell’s lawyer Musa Ghanayem also issued a statement to USA TODAY: “Lindsie would like nothing more than to be left alone and go about her own business. Unfortunately, certain members of her family will not let her live in peace. We are flabbergasted at the audacity of Todd and Chase Chrisley. who are more focused on attacking my client rather than defending themselves against the allegations of criminal conduct.”.

That case was ultimately dismissed, according to TMZ, as the alleged threats and harassment occurred in Tennessee.

The names and dates move through the family’s public timeline with a harsh consistency: arrests. court proceedings. and denials keep returning. even as one legal chapter ends. Todd and Julie Chrisley’s 2025 pardons may have freed them from prison. but other relatives’ cases—Kyle’s assault-related charges and Chase’s bar incident—continued to draw attention.

In the latest turn. Lindsie Chrisley Campbell now faces her own legal confrontation after the May 24 Georgia arrest. with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office confirmation of DUI-related charges and the bond amount she posted later that day. The family’s broad history of legal trouble remains intact—another case filed onto a record that has already played out in courts. police reports. and public statements.

  1. I don’t even know the whole story but $6,000 bond sounds low for DUI? Maybe I’m wrong. Also “attempting to elude” is wild if that’s true.

  2. Wait so she got pulled over for speeding and then tried to elude?? That’s like… two different stories in one. And people keep saying Chrisley like it’s one person lol. TMZ always jumps in but I’m still confused why she’s fighting the charge if the record already says what happened.

  3. Honestly the whole Chrisley saga makes me tired. They’ve been in court forever and it’s always “bond” and “charges” and then nothing changes. I heard from somewhere else Todd was involved somehow with her being arrested?? So maybe she was getting special treatment? Idk, but if she was passing improperly and reckless driving, that’s not a good look. Georgia laws are different right, so $6k might mean more or less??
