“I’m Back On Track After Rehab!!!” he posted, describing the months leading up to this moment as a concentrated reset—rehab, therapy, and working with a psychiatrist.
In the same update, he opened up about his bipolar diagnosis. He framed it with dark humor, saying being bipolar, Black and gay felt like “God handed him a particularly challenging set of cards.”
Despite the weight behind those words, his post also pointed toward steadier days. He said he’s doing much better now, spending more time with family, slowing down, and “smelling the roses.” He also teased that new music is on the way.
The update lands against a volatile chapter in his recent past. Lil Nas X was arrested last year after stripping naked and lunging at an officer before being transported to a hospital for a possible overdose. He later entered an out-of-state treatment facility.

Not to be mean but I don’t trust these “back on track” posts. Wasn’t there like… the overdose thing like last year? Hope he’s actually stable though.
“Bipolar shaped his perspective” sounds like PR speak. Also I thought bipolar was more mood swings not whatever happened with the cops… like where does the Black and gay card thing even fit in? Maybe I’m missing context.
Smelling the roses is cute but he literally got arrested for stripping and lunging at an officer?? That seems like way more than “therapy and psychiatrist.” I’m glad he’s with family now, but the new music tease makes me think they’re moving on too fast.
