LEGO releases nostalgic PlayStation replica set — here’s how to get it early

LEGO just unveiled a new buildable model that every video gamer is going to want on their shelf — the PlayStation set.

Yes, LEGO has recreated the original Sony PlayStation video game console that was released in the U.S. in 1995. This nostalgic nod to the ’90s comes with 1,911 pieces and even includes a few Easter eggs for you to find.

Retailing for $180, the PlayStation set is available now only for LEGO Insiders. Not an Insider just yet? You can sign up for a free Insider account online now, and you’ll also receive reward points and more member perks.

The LEGO PlayStation set will be available to the general public on Oct. 4.

The LEGO PlayStation set is a 1:1-scale replica that comes with a plug-in controller. It also has working power and open buttons that reveal a diorama of the popular video games Ape Escape and Gran Turismo.

LEGO is also offering a freebie deal when you buy this PlayStation set. As a free gift, you’ll receive a 276-piece Astro Bot set ($20 value) with your order of $150 or more.

LEGO is also offering free shipping on all online orders over $35.
