Lauren Alaina came back to country’s biggest night feeling newly grounded, stepping onto the red carpet at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, May 17, with a clear sense of momentum after a difficult stretch of missing previous ceremonies.
Speaking on the red carpet. Alaina—now a new mother—told Amazon Music’s Red Carpet Show hosts Kelly Sutton and Amber Anderson that becoming a mom to daughter Beni Doll. 11 months old. has made her “the most confident” she has ever been.. She said the years of working to reach her goals eventually gave way to a different kind of certainty once she had her daughter and married her husband.
“Now I feel like the rest of this is just a bonus,” she added, as she also looked ahead to family milestones. She is planning her daughter’s first birthday party, and she brought her husband, Cam Arnold, with her for the evening’s celebrations.
Alaina’s return carries extra weight because she was not at last year’s ACM Awards or the 2024 show.. During last year’s ceremony. she was 37 weeks pregnant and did not attend. and she previously shared an emotional Instagram Reel during the 2025 awards after describing feeling “left out” as her music was in a “transition” phase..
