Kyle Cooke Clears Up Fake-Story Exit on Summer House

Kyle Cooke posted a caption that sounded like a goodbye after “Summer House” wrapped its 10th season—then quickly clarified on Instagram that the show isn’t canceled and he isn’t announcing he won’t return.

Kyle Cooke gave “Summer House” fans a jolt—then tried to put the whiplash back in the bottle.

It started with an Instagram post that reflected on season 10 wrapping and framed it as the “end of an era.” The Bravo star’s wording made it sound final, especially after he wrote, “The show isn’t cancelled and this is not me announcing I won’t return.”

Cooke later explained the mix-up, writing that he was “feeling emo” and planned to share the cover photo anyway because it “DID feel like the end of an era.” He added why the emotions seemed so heavy: “which is why everyone else was so emotional saying their goodbyes on the finale. Sorry everyone!”

In the rest of the reflection, he kept the message that season 10 hit him differently. He wrote, “I can’t tell how hard it was to muster up a smile in this photo with my producers. Per usual I was the last to leave the house when we wrapped because I lug so much gear out.”

Then came the part that landed like a goodbye even after he denied it. “10 seasons in the books. A new show on the way. And a heartbreaking way to end one helluva run. ” he said. before adding. “I’m tearing up as I type this because we truly become a family shooting this show and it was a gut wrenching way to leave this house for good.”.

For viewers, the instinct was understandable—his phrasing sounded pretty final. But the update was equally clear: he wasn’t laying out an exit from the series.

That fan tension is happening as the cast lineup shifts in its own way. “Summer House” is already losing a cast member: West Wilson will not be back when the Bravo cameras start rolling. Our earlier reporting indicated there’s a chance West could make a cameo appearance. but he wasn’t picked up for next season.

West’s departure follows the fallout from his scandalous relationship with Amanda Batula and the friend fallout between Batula and Ciara Miller that rocked the cast.

For now, though, Kyle’s message appears aimed at one thing—pulling back the idea that his own chapter is closing. With season 10 done, he’s left fans with the emotion of a final sendoff, minus the announcement they thought they’d just read.
