Kaguta Museveni’s swearing-in for the 2026–2031 term.The event on May 12, 2026, streamed live from Kampala city-based Kololo Independence Grounds was made possible by Kyenjojo Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Julian Ayesiga, who provided a large TV screen for the community.Supporters expressed excitement and pride, saying they had long awaited the moment their “lovely president” would take the oath.“We voted for President Museveni, and today we are very happy.. We have a lot of hope in
him,” one supporter told New Vision.. Abooki Kato Steven, the Kyenjojo central LC1 chairperson, urged residents to focus on improving household incomes, echoing the President’s guidance on prosperity.. Ayesiga emphasised that Museveni secured 87.56% of the vote in Kyenjojo District, and that since many supporters could not travel to Kololo, they created their own “Kololo” locally to celebrate together.The RDC also highlighted the achievements of the last term in Kyenjojo, including the establishment of four
seed schools, the elevation of two health centres from level II to III and expanded access to water, electricity and other services like road networksShe expressed confidence that the NRM government would build on these gains in the new term.The atmosphere at the playground reflected both celebration and optimism as residents looked forward to continued development under Museveni’s leadership.
