Kristen Bell performs ‘Frozen’ song at Savannah Bananas’ Denver game
‘Frozen 3’ to feature Olaf’s love interest – see Josh Gad performance
Josh Gad revealed Olaf’s upcoming love interest in “Frozen 3” with a special performance at D23.
“For the First Time in Forever” Savannah Bananas had Kristen Bell sing for them at a baseball game.
Bell, in a surprise appearance on Saturday, Aug. 15, stepped onto Coors Field in Denver, as the Savannah Bananas faced the Indianapolis Clowns, belting out a string of musical theater and movie hits including the fan-favorite song from her 2013 film “Frozen.” She was joined by Broadway star Derek Klena, who became part of the exhibition baseball team in December as an entertainment player and has traveled with the team for their Banana Ball World Tour.
Video shared on the Savannah Bananas’ official Instagram page shows Bell coming out from the stands to stunned crowds and making her way down to the field dressed in a custom Bananas jersey and leopard-print pants.
Bell, 46, started by singing “For the First Time in Forever” before Klena, 34, burst into “Dancing Through Life” from “Wicked.”
“I can’t wait to meet everyone − what if I meet the one?” Bell sang.
The two then danced together before going into “Time of My Life” from “Dirty Dancing,” complete with the iconic lift from the 1987 film.
“The mashup we never knew we needed,” the Bananas captioned their Instagram post.
Bell, Idina Menzel tease ‘Frozen 3’
Just a day prior, on Aug. 14, Bell and her “Frozen” castmates Idina Menzel and Josh Gad shared a first sneak peek into “Frozen 3,” taking audiences at Disney’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event back to the chilly kingdom of Arendelle.
“Doesn’t it feel like the world of ‘Frozen’ is a little bit different?” Bell asked, to which Menzel added: “Maybe a little bit more mysterious.”
Bell confirmed that Anna is finally “getting hitched to her mountain man Kristoff” in a royal wedding that Menzel said has been a long time coming.
Gad revealed that romance is in the air for Olaf, too. The iconic goofy snowman will fall in love with a snowwoman named Samantha.
The cast gave a sneak peek at the upcoming threequel at D23 and revealed that a mysterious, villainous threat is looming. None of the actors would reveal who the mystery screen villain is.
“We will find ourselves far from Arendelle in a frozen land more wild and dangerous than anything else that has ever been created,” Menzel added.
The original “Frozen” stormed the worldwide box office in 2013, making more than $1.3 billion and becoming the highest-grossing animated film at the time. 2019’s “Frozen II” exceeded that milestone with a chilling $1.4 billion in box office.
“Frozen 3” is slated to hit theaters nationwide in November 2027.
