Knicks 29-point – OG Anunoby hit the game-winning shot in Game 4 as the Knicks erased a 29-point deficit for the largest comeback in NBA Finals history, taking a 3-1 series lead as Madison Square Garden emptied slowly and the internet erupted.
Madison Square Garden didn’t feel like it was watching a basketball game so much as a fight for belief.
In Game 4 of the NBA Finals. the New York Knicks trailed for most of the night and fell behind by as many as 29 points before turning it around in the second half. When OG Anunoby delivered the game-winning shot. the moment snapped into something electric—New York’s fans and even those who usually stay out of the spotlight rushed to the edge of the court to celebrate.
The scenes that followed didn’t look like a routine victory. Rapper Fat Joe, actor Timothée Chalamet, and former New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia were among those lingering around after the game. Actor Mariska Hargitay and singer Taylor Swift were also seen dancing and celebrating courtside in the closing moments. A majority of the crowd hung around at the Garden in the minutes that followed. continuing the celebration instead of filing out when the final buzzer sounded.
Back in the series, the stakes sharpened quickly. The Knicks now hold a 3-1 lead, with Game 5 set in San Antonio on Saturday, June 13. That single date sits at the center of the aftermath—because after the Knicks’ largest comeback in NBA Finals history. the question isn’t whether the momentum can carry. It’s whether anyone will be able to stop it from carrying into the next game.

29 points?? i swear they were dead in the first half.
So the Knicks came back from a 29-point deficit and won, but why does it say “San Antonio” like they’re not in New York? I’m confused lol. Also OG Anunoby is a beast.
Fat Joe and Taylor Swift were at the game?? That’s crazy. I don’t even watch basketball like that but it sounds like the Garden was basically a concert. 3-1 lead means it’s over right? If not, then why is everyone acting like it is.
Largest comeback in NBA Finals history… ok but I feel like these games get “turned around” every year now. Like what was happening, refs throwing the game or something? And Mariska Hargitay dancing is cool but I’m more stuck on the whole “Game 5 set in San Antonio on June 13” thing. Aren’t finals supposed to switch cities or whatever? Either way, Madison Square Garden emptying slowly sounds like nobody wanted to leave because they knew they’d see something wild.
