Kelly Osbourne plans Father’s Day tribute for Ozzy

Nearly a year after Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July 2025, Kelly Osbourne says she and her brother Louis are preparing a special tribute as the family approaches the first Father’s Day since his passing.

One year after Ozzy Osbourne died, Father’s Day still feels heavy for Kelly Osbourne. On June 18 in London, speaking at the Mind x The Ricky Hatton Foundation charity auction, she described the moment as more than a date on the calendar.

Kelly said she and her brother Louis are planning a meaningful tribute for their late father this weekend, telling Us Weekly, “Me and my brother Louis are going to do something special for my dad this weekend.”

Grief, she said, hasn’t disappeared—it’s simply changed shape. Nearly a year after losing the heavy metal icon, Kelly shared, “I’m getting a little bit better every day. The pain will never go away, and I’ll never be the person I was before he died again. But I’m getting to know the new me.” She added that she’s still figuring out that “new” self.

Ozzy died in July 2025 at the age of 76. His death was later attributed to a combination of cardiac arrest. acute myocardial infarction. coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease. At the time. the family released a statement asking for privacy: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”.

Ozzy is survived by his wife Sharon and their children Aimee, Kelly and Jack. He also had three older children—Jessica, Louis and Elliot—from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, with Elliot being Riley’s son from a past relationship.

The tribute plans land in the middle of a long, ongoing adjustment. In August 2025, Kelly used Instagram Stories to reflect on coping, writing, “Grief is a strange thing. It sneaks up on you in waves — I will not be OK for a while — but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference. I’m holding on tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind.”.

Later that year, the sense of absence didn’t go away as birthdays came and went. In December 2025, Ozzy’s family gathered to mark what would have been his 77th birthday. Kelly posted a tribute on Instagram saying, “Happy birthday daddy you most certainly did not die an ordinary man!. Life without you is hard but not a day goes by that I don’t dedicate my life to loving you and your legacy!”.

  1. Wait Ozzy died like last year? I saw some other post saying it was cancer or something so idk. Either way, sounds like Kelly’s coping so good for her.

  2. I don’t get why they’re doing a tribute “this weekend” like it’s a scheduled thing, but grief is grief I guess. Also the article says cardiac arrest and heart stuff AND Parkinson’s?? That’s like three causes, that seems kinda messy.

  3. I’m sorry but I feel like Hollywood families always make these public sadness moments for attention. Like why does it need a charity auction and Us Weekly and all that? Let them be private… unless they already are and we’re just reading about it. Parkinson’s is brutal though, RIP Ozzy.
