Karol G’s return to the stage took an unexpected turn.

The Grammy-winning singer and Latin superstar, who recently kicked off her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, appeared to have an onstage incident during her concert at Rogers Stadium on Wednesday, July 29, as seen in footage shared on social media.

In the video, Karol was performing her song “Viajando Por El Mundo” when a male fan rushed onstage and attempted to grab the singer. After tugging on the singer’s arm, the concertgoer was quickly apprehended by security. Karol then appeared to try deescalating the abrupt encounter, but she was yanked by the fan again before security escorted him from the stage.

USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Karol G and Rogers Stadium for comment.

Karol’s next performance is scheduled for Aug. 2 at Northwest Stadium in Washington, D.C., according to the singer’s official website.

Following a historic performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, where she became the first female Latin artist to headline the event, Karol began her world tour on July 24 with a show at Chicago’s Soldier Field. The singer will play stadiums across North America through the fall before heading to Latin America and Europe next year.

In addition to hitting the stage, Karol is set to release her sixth album, “No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto,” on Aug. 7.
