Karen Derrico is back in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
The “Doubling Down With the Derricos” alum. 46. was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with harassment. violating a restraining order. preventing a witness from testifying through threat of violence. and aggravated stalking. The case was filed after prosecutors. in documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday. June 24. alleged she threatened to kill her ex-husband Deon Derrico. 55. and their children.
Central to the allegations are emails prosecutors say Karen sent to Deon. In a June 14 email. she allegedly wrote. “I want you dead. ” and added. “I could kill you. and it won’t even bother me to go to jail and I’ll kill any of my kids if they take your side. ” according to court records obtained by Oxygen True Crime.
Prosecutors also claim that in a May 2 email, Karen warned Deon to “watch out” because she planned on “getting a gun and/or will have someone kill him before he can go to court.” Authorities further alleged the emails left Deon “in reasonable fear of death or substantial bodily harm,” per Oxygen.
Deon also faced a court-related attempt to stop him, prosecutors said. They alleged Karen tried to prevent him from attending a court hearing about a temporary protection order he requested.
Karen was arraigned on the felony charges on Tuesday, June 23, and pleaded not guilty.
Her attorney. Jess Marchese. told Oxygen that the allegations are “completely false. ” adding. “And we will prove they were completely fabricated by Mr. Derrico.” Marchese also told TMZ that Karen was released from custody on a $2. 000 bond and was outfitted with an ankle monitor. with her next hearing scheduled for August 6.
For years, Karen and Deon were closely watched as they raised 14 children—sets of twins, triplets, and quintuplets—on TLC’s reality series “Doubling Down With the Derricos.” The show aired for five seasons from 2020 to 2024, ending as they divorced.
The couple confirmed their split to Us Weekly in June 2024. saying they remained “unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children.” Father’s Day came shortly after their divorce announcement. when Karen posted on Instagram on Sunday. June 16. writing. “Happy Fathers Day to the best father any 14 children can ask for!. @deonderrico,” alongside a photo montage of Deon.
In December 2025. Deon also shared an update about the divorce on “The Sarah Fraser Show” podcast. saying. “At this point. we are just working it out as a family collectively.” He added. “No. I am not ‘dating.’ She is not ‘dating.’ We have talked about how that would look because our biggest concern is our children. It is a unique. complicated. different. esoteric. and I cannot think of enough words to describe it because of the 14 children.”.
