Karamo Brown Declares He’s Sure Jussie Smollett’s ‘The One’

Karamo Brown says he’s “100 percent” sure Jussie Smollett will be his husband, even as he insists they’re not rushing into public view. The reality star credits the relationship for feeling safe, secure, and “constant laughter.”

Karamo Brown didn’t talk around it—when he answered what matters most, his tone turned certain.

On Carlos King’s Reality With The King podcast this week. the Queer Eye alum said he’s dating a celebrity and described that person as his future husband. He was asked if his “boo is ‘the one,’” and Brown replied: “I know it. I’m 100 percent sure. I could get emotional. I’ve met my equal. And it’s powerful when you meet someone who you feel 100 percent safe with. you feel 100 percent secure with. who you can just trust with your heart. because you know they are just a great human being. and they get everything. You know, it’s special. It’s pretty amazing.”.

Brown also made clear they’re moving with urgency in their private life. “We are not taking it slow” because they’re “deep in love.” But he drew a line when it came to the public. “But why we are not public yet because we don’t want comments. We are protecting the love we have because I do believe this is going to be my husband. I believe this is going to be my forever person. I feel it every single day.”.

He added that he doesn’t view it as “hiding,” just choosing protection. Under the spotlight, he knows they’ll face intense scrutiny—especially because Smollett’s past already sits heavy in public memory.

Jussie Smollett was found guilty of five counts of felony disorderly conduct for lying to the police about being a victim of a 2019 hate crime. He was sentenced to 150 days in prison and ordered to pay the city of Chicago $120,106 in restitution, plus a $25,000 fine. Smollett spent six days behind bars when he appealed. The 44-year-old actor argued he never should have been charged by a special prosecutor after the Cook County State Attorney’s Office dropped charges in exchange for community service. Ultimately, his conviction was overturned by the Illinois Supreme Court.

Despite all of that, Brown said the day-to-day looks nothing like chaos. He told the podcast listeners they “don’t have any arguments,” and that everything feels effortless: “We just get each other. It’s constant laughter. It’s constant love. It’s just constant everything.”

Brown’s certainty comes as their relationship is already drawing attention off-camera. He and Smollett were spotted looking “cozy” while out and about in Los Angeles on Monday. and they also reportedly had lunch with Karamo’s mother that same day—another sign. for some. that their connection is more than passing.

If their “deep in love” momentum meets their desire to “protect” it from comments, one thing is clear: Brown isn’t treating this like a trial run. He’s treating it like forever—repeatedly insisting, “I believe this is going to be my husband.”

  1. I don’t even know what this is about… I saw the headline and thought they were getting married like right away? Protecting the love but also being a celebrity is still being in the spotlight

  2. Replying to Marcus but fr, the whole Smollett thing is like “cancel” then he pops up with another TV person and suddenly it’s all love? Maybe the prison time was just like publicity punishment? Not sure how that works.

  3. Karamo saying “not taking it slow” is wild because people always say that right before stuff blows up. Also he said they’re not public yet “because we don’t want comments” which like… the internet literally has comments forever. Protecting love sounds nice but it’s still gonna be messy, especially with the hate crime case in the background.
