Kai Cenat’s Streamer University in NYC Draws Chaos

Kai Cenat’s free Streamer University event outside John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City pulled in massive crowds Friday, with some people sleeping outside overnight for a chance at the in-person application process. The turnout led to chaotic

By the time Kai Cenat arrived outside John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City on Friday. the neighborhood around the campus was already packed with hopeful streamers. It looked less like a calm college recruitment day and more like a line that kept growing—long enough that the chaos had started before anyone even walked into the building.

Kai Cenat’s Streamer University—his free event geared toward helping creators learn and collaborate—was designed as an in-person application stop. But the demand was so intense that some attendees slept outside overnight to secure spots during the application process.

When Kai finally made his entrance, he was met with cheers and a huge grin as he walked into the Manhattan college. Fans waited nearby for their chance to be let in, cheering while the crowd pressed forward outside.

Keeping order proved to be its own operation. Cops were out in full force handling crowd control, and a police helicopter whirled above to provide an overhead view.

Streamer University may already be dealing with an over-enrollment problem, if the size of the Friday crowds is any indication. The event wasn’t a one-off either—this was the first of three planned Streamer University dates. One more is set for this Sunday in Los Angeles, and another is scheduled for next week in Atlanta.

For those who made it to the line, the next step is simple: this is just an in-person application. After the day’s process, many hopeful creators will be checking their emails and waiting to see whether they get into their dream “school.”

  1. So basically people camped out like it’s Black Friday? I thought John Jay was for criminals not like… streamers. Also why did a helicopter need to be there, seems excessive.

  2. Wait so they just give you an application in person and that’s it? I saw somewhere online that it was like a whole class schedule or something, so maybe the headline is confusing. Still tho cops and a helicopter for a line… New York always doing the most. And LA/Atlanta next like people are gonna camp again.

  3. I’m sorry but this sounds like a scam wearing a hoodie. If it’s “free” why are they acting like it’s limited enrollment? Also the article says “chaos” but nobody talks about whether the people got in or just got stuck in line all day. My cousin said Kai Cenat pays them or something, idk. Either way, I don’t trust it.
