The morning after the New York Knicks clinched their first NBA championship in decades. Jordyn Woods was still waking up to the feeling of the game. In an Instagram caption. she described how she couldn’t even move on emotionally—still looking ahead. still thinking in the same numbers. still replaying the season in her head.

“Trying to find the right words because I’m still overwhelmed with emotion,” Woods wrote. “These guys were so locked in that I woke up this morning still saying ‘0-0,’ waiting for Game 6. Watching this team all season has been unbelievable. not just because of their undeniable talent. but because they’re even better people than they are players.”.

To “my soon-to-be husband and best friend,” she added: “you did it. I couldn’t be more proud of you.”

Her tribute didn’t just sit on the highlight-reel moment. Woods focused on what she said she saw in the way Karl-Anthony Towns and the team carried themselves through the highs and lows—“the humility you’ve carried through every high and low. the way you put your faith before everything else. the sacrifices you’ve made. and the joy you’ve brought to every moment.” She ended that section with a message that felt like her own signature philosophy: “No ego. Just hard work, gratitude, and an unwavering belief. What a journey this has been for us.”.

There was also a sweet detail that made the victory feel even more personal. Woods revealed what Karl told her before they got engaged—“You always said, ‘When I get my ring, I’ll get you yours,’ and somehow it happened exactly that way. Two rings in one year.”

The story of that “two rings” moment is now tangled together with something else the Knicks fanbase won’t forget: a bag.

Woods by Jordyn isn’t just a fashion brand in Woods’ life—it’s a visible part of the couple’s championship run. The entrepreneur and model owns her fashion company. called “Woods by Jordyn. ” which sells items “from shoes to purses.” One bag in particular—an orange clutch—was credited as the Knicks’ good luck charm.

Karl even publicly credited it. In an NBA social post dated June 14. 2026. he thanked Woods by name for the orange clutch purse she brought to “almost every Knicks game. ” and he framed it as part of the team’s win. “I want everyone in New York to know that bag won a championship!” Karl said while walking by a chuckling crowd. “Hey, Papa, we got the bag. The bag made it. The bag’s undefeated, man,” he continued.

For Woods, it’s another thread connecting the personal and the public: she’s been building her own career at the same time Karl’s basketball moment has grown sharper. She’s also a model, working professionally since 2015 and representing multiple brands, including her own.

Her life outside basketball, however, has never been only about glamour. Woods’ friendship with Kylie Jenner has been through its own turbulence. The two have “run into a rough patch. ” but “it broke the girl code.” In 2019. Woods admitted to kissing Kylie’s sister Khloé Kardashian’s ex. Tristan Thompson. after he had cheated on Khloé multiple times before they finally broke up. That scandal fractured their friendship. but they “found a way to work things out over the years.” Kylie and Woods still hang out when they can. and they still “like” each other’s social media posts.

And in the middle of all that—models, brands, friendships tested and repaired—Woods and Karl’s relationship kept moving forward.

Woods and Karl have been together since 2020. Before they started dating, they were friends for a while and had mutual connections. Less than six years later, Karl proposed, and they announced the news on Christmas Day 2025. Woods even captioned her Instagram engagement post with: “Marry Christmas.”

  1. Aww I love this. Knicks finally win and she’s out here posting the exact promise too, like that’s so wholesome. Also Karl better know what he’s doing marrying someone like that.

  2. I read it like she was saying she couldn’t move on emotionally like she’s still stuck on Game 6 numbers?? Isn’t that kinda the whole point of basketball fans though. Also “0-0” seems weird because the score wasn’t 0-0 right?

  3. I don’t even watch the Knicks like that but this made me tear up for some reason. Engagement story + championship = instant emotional overload. Why does it always feel like players’ girlfriends are the ones keeping the receipts 😂 like he promised her a ring?? idk man love wins I guess
