John Travolta duets with Paul and Ringo

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, John Travolta recalled how he ended up singing with two Beatles legends—Paul McCartney in a parking lot and Ringo Starr backstage at Starr’s June 2025 Clearwater, Florida concert—turning a casual moment into a musical
John Travolta didn’t just show up for Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show conversation—he walked straight into a Beatles moment that had been sitting in front of the audience for weeks.
Fallon had the crowd look at a photo of Travolta with Ringo Starr. captioning it like an instant headline: “A Beatle and John Travolta. Legends. Icons.” The image. taken backstage during Starr’s June 2025 Clearwater. Fla. concert. had already traveled through social media—Travolta himself posted it on Instagram last year. Now, standing there with Fallon, Travolta revealed the part people didn’t see when the picture went public.
“That day that photo was taken… I actually sang with him on stage,” Travolta said. He explained that he wanted to see Starr perform, then went backstage once he arrived at the Floridian show. “So he said. ‘Why don’t you come sing with me?’ So we sang. ” Travolta recalled. naming the Beatles classic: “I Get By with a Little Help from my Friends.” He added that Starr was the “second Beatle” he had sung with.
Before that Clearwater backstage invitation, there was another Beatles surprise—one that started somewhere far less formal. When Fallon brought up the first Beatle Travolta had dueted with, the actor pointed to Paul McCartney. Travolta said, “I had also sung with Paul McCartney in the parking lot of a Tom Ford party years ago.”.
As for how that happened, Travolta painted the moment in plain, matter-of-fact terms. “[McCartney] said, ‘Well, I represented the ’60s. You represented the ’70s. We should sing.’”
The Tonight Show appearance didn’t come out of nowhere, either. Travolta had shared the Starr-and-him photo on Instagram last year. and his caption framed Starr as more than a guest star. “Ringo Starr is part of the soundtrack of my life. It meant a lot to me to sing with him and his [All-Starr] band tonight. Great song from The Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s album.” In the post. he also included a photo of the two performing on stage. plus a video from the night. The video showed Travolta sharing the stage with the supergroup Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band.
That Instagram upload quickly pulled fans in—drawing more than 3,000 comments. One Instagram user wrote, “Stayin’ Alive meets Here Comes the Sun,” while another reacted, “Ok that is pretty dang COOL!”
Travolta also has a history of taking on Beatles songs live. In 2013, he sang “Yesterday” at a G’day USA celebration—an annual event that promotes and strengthens the U.S.-Australia ties—where he was accompanied by Keith Urban on the guitar at the Los Angeles event.
From a Tom Ford party parking lot to a backstage ask in Clearwater, the through-line is simple: for Travolta, these weren’t rehearsed career milestones. They were invitations that turned into songs on the spot—and now, audiences are hearing the story behind the pictures.

Wait so he sang with Ringo backstage or like… on the street? Beatles keep spawning in random places lol.
I saw that pic floating around and thought it was just like a hello moment. But “I sang with him on stage”?? John Travolta really said yes to everything. Also Clearwater is always popping.
So he sang “I Get By with a Little Help from my Friends” with Ringo and Paul? I mean that’s cool but I swear I read somewhere it was a different song, like “Help” or whatever. And the parking lot thing sounds fake, Tom Ford party?? People be making up stories for clout. Still kinda awesome though.
Why is this even a thing? Like John Travolta just walking into a Beatles thing like it’s normal?? Next they’re gonna say he joined a band at a grocery store. Also Paul McCartney representing the ’60s and Travolta representing the ’70s… ok sure. Feels like a random timeline flex more than news.
