Jimmy Kimmel Rents a U-Haul for Spencer Pratt

On his Tuesday night show, Jimmy Kimmel mocked Spencer Pratt after the former reality star lost the Los Angeles mayoral race, joking that Pratt promised to leave L.A. if he didn’t win and then “sending” him out of town with a U-Haul bit.

Jimmy Kimmel didn’t wait long to turn Spencer Pratt’s election loss into a full-on late-night sendoff.

During the opening monologue of his Tuesday late-night show. Kimmel went after Pratt with a routine that mixed election facts. a pointed joke. and a prop that made the message impossible to miss. The host brought up Pratt’s promise to move out of Los Angeles if he lost to incumbent mayor Karen Bass and city council member Nithya Raman.

Kimmel then leaned into the theatrics—joking that he was “so sorry to see Spencer go” and saying he was going to “miss the hell out of” Pratt.

From there, the monologue shifted to money. Kimmel joked that Pratt’s tight on cash right now because out-of-state donations have dried up, and it’s expensive to move. Kimmel said he wanted to do Pratt a solid by giving him a going-away present.

The gag landed with a hard cut: a camera showed a man driving a U-Haul out of a parking lot, with Spencer Pratt’s sad face plastered across one side next to a sign that reads, “Just Defeated.”

While Kimmel was delivering the punchlines, the election story was already heading into its next phase. Bass and Raman will go head-to-head in the Los Angeles mayoral runoff on November 3. In the primary, Pratt finished third—behind Bass and Raman, respectively.
