On Father’s Day, Jennifer Garner didn’t just post a message—she shared a glimpse of Ben Affleck in the role their family has centered for years: father.
The Alias actress took to Instagram with rare photos of Ben Affleck with their three kids, Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14. In the same post, Garner also shared photos of her own father.
Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 to 2015, and their divorce was finalized in 2018. Their Father’s Day tribute carried the tone of something personal and earned—gratitude for the way their children show up for him.
“My sisters and I loved to spoil our dad; he never wanted for fresh baked cookies or a bowl of ice cream. I see the way my kids dote on their dad and I’m happy for them. To love and be loved by a great dad is a gift. Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads and to the kids of dads. too. ” Garner wrote in her caption.
The post also echoes the kind of family closeness Garner has been leaning into lately.
