For one day, the breakup rumors moved faster than the family ever asked them to. Then Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee Ann DeFord, stepped in.

On Tuesday. June 16. Bailee Ann. 18. took to TikTok to comment on headlines about her father filing for divorce from Bunnie Xo after nearly 10 years of marriage. In the post, she wrote, “I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It’s fkn crazy,” over a photo of herself in bed. She continued, “Go on somewhere yall. Worry ‘bout your house — not mine. I’m not speaking on it — yet.”.

The public pressure is the part Bailee Ann seemed to be most clearly pushing back against. She is the daughter Jelly Roll shares primary custody of with Bunnie Xo. Bailee Ann’s biological mother is Felicia Beckwith.

The divorce itself was reported to have been set in motion months earlier. On Monday. June 15. Us confirmed that Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) submitted a divorce petition to a Tennessee court on May 18. Documents obtained by the outlet state that Jelly Roll listed the date of separation as May 9 and cited “irreconcilable differences.” The documents also say Jelly Roll claimed that the “parties are unable to live together successfully as husband and wife.”.

In the paperwork, Jelly Roll also outlined his proposal regarding the split of assets. The filing states the couple share “an equitable division of the parties’ assets,” and that they would split “responsibility for payment of the parties’ debts.”

Neither Jelly Roll nor Bunnie Xo has publicly commented on the divorce. but Bunnie did appear to react in her own way. Less than a week after the filings were submitted. Bunnie posted a TikTok on May 20—two days after the documents were filed—writing. “Women’s intuition when that s*** don’t add up. Mmmmhmmm #bunniexo,” over footage of herself looking around skeptically.

The family’s situation has had other twists too—ones that made the latest news hit harder for people who’ve watched their story unfold. Before this split, Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo were open about their ups and downs. Earlier this year. Bunnie (real name Alisa Andrea Carter) revealed she and Jelly Roll were hoping to expand their family through in vitro fertilization (IVF). In a January interview with People. Bunnie said the process was “one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through.” She added. “It’s been rough. I know that God has a plan and he’s going to make it work. I really do. I have no doubt in my mind.” She also said they had hoped to welcome twins.

That comes alongside other family details: Bunnie does not have any biological children of her own, while Jelly Roll is also father to son Noah Buddy, 9, with ex Melisa Ann Cowell.

Jelly Roll previously addressed the marriage itself, too. During an October 2025 episode of the “Human School” podcast, he acknowledged that he cheated on Bunnie after marrying her in Las Vegas in August 2016. He and Cowell welcomed Noah the same month Jelly Roll tied the knot with Bunnie.

In February, Bunnie spoke to Us about rebuilding their marriage after the betrayal. She said, “I don’t think anybody can just snap out of it. It is a process. You’re literally grieving and you’re heartbroken but you’re still in love with this person. Even though the affair is a part of the book. it’s not our story. ” adding. “It’s literally what catapulted us into who we are today.”.

For now, Bailee Ann’s message is the clearest line in the noise: the filings, the timelines, the public speculation—none of it changes the fact that this is still a private family matter. And she made sure people understood that she knows exactly what’s being watched.
