Jean Smart has landed her first major post-Hacks role!

The 74-year-old Emmy-winning actor will star in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios’ film Egg Baby. It marks her first project since wrapping up her time on the HBO comedy series where she played Deborah Vance.

Jean will soon compete at the Emmys once again after scoring her 15th nomination.

Egg Baby was written by Sawyer Perry and will be directed by Natalia Anderson.

According to Deadline, the story “follows a rebellious artist (Ariana Greenblatt) and a golden-boy quarterback (Kingston Rumi Southwick) who are forced to co-parent an egg for health class, only to find that raising “Yolk-o” might crack open something real between them.”

Jean‘s playing a character named Ms. Downey. Arthur Conti also stars.

Hacks wrapped up its five-season run this past May. Jean has been in a couple of other projects during that time, like The Studio on Apple TV and Babylon, but she’s mostly kept her focus on the HBO series.

Earlier this month, Jean and her Hacks co-star Hannah Einbinder reunited to reprise their roles from the show for a one-night-only live event titled Deborah Vance & Friends & Enemies LIVE! in Los Angeles.

Hacks creator Paul W. Downs also shared some details about the real-life drama that almost derailed the series finale.
