Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker doubled down on his belief that Donald Trump is struggling with dementia, arguing the president appears like a “different man” than he was a decade ago and pointing to shifts in how he responds to questions and speaks. Trump has denie

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker didn’t mince words when Donald Trump dismissed Democratic Socialist candidates as “the greatest threat to the country.” Pritzker’s response was sharper than politics: he told host Kaitlan Collins that he genuinely believes Trump is “continually suffering from dementia.”

Speaking during a Tuesday appearance on CNN’s “The Source. ” Pritzker said he thinks Trump “doesn’t really understand what he’s saying.” He argued that the president is “a man” who has threatened to jail the mayor of Chicago and the governor of Illinois. and that Trump “regularly threatens to go after people.” Pritzker also claimed Trump has used the Department of Justice to target people.

Pritzker went further, theorizing that Trump has “concepts in his head,” which he blurted out “without really thinking.” When Collins asked whether he “really” believed Trump had dementia, Pritzker answered yes—then pointed to a time gap as proof.

“I do. Look at any of the videos from 2015 or 2016 and look at how he responded to questions and look at how he was at press conferences and then you fast forward and look at him now. I really think that there’s something genuinely wrong with him,” he said.

Pritzker stressed he is not a doctor and does not have the authority to diagnose anyone. Still, he criticized the way Trump forms sentences, saying, “the way [Trump] puts words and sentences together … They are almost divergent in the same sentences.”

This isn’t the first time Pritzker has challenged Trump’s cognitive health publicly. Back in May. the governor made a similar claim during a Politico interview. telling the outlet. “I think the man has dementia … I don’t really understand how it works up there for him.” In that interview. Pritzker said Trump’s cognitive issues were “much more pronounced” in his second term and added. “And. from day one. during the campaign. I think I felt that.”.

Trump has repeatedly denied allegations of health struggles and cognitive decline. His most recent physical defended him by saying he is in “in excellent health,” demonstrating strong “cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function.”
