James Carville Taunts Hasan Piker After Giving Democrats ‘Me Or Him’ Ultimatum

Political strategist James Carville laughed at progressives telling him “good riddance” amid his threats leave the Democratic Party if the left-wing’s influence continues to grow.

As the big-tent party tries to reckon with a growing ideological divide within its ranks, the “Ragin’ Cajun” seems particularly peeved by Hasan Piker, who last week told Fox News that he refuses to be in the same political camp as the democratic socialist-aligned streamer.

Piker, delighted by Carville’s ultimatum during his Tuesday Twitch stream, told Michigan’s Democratic candidate Senate Abdul El-Sayed, “We got John Fetterman, James Carville fantasizing about leaving the party. I’m like, ‘You’re sweetening the deal.’”

“Why does anybody still listen to James Carville?” El-Sayed went on to wonder. “He said one smart thing once, which he seems to have forgotten, which is, ‘It’s the economy, stupid.’”

Seeming more than happy to fan the flames of the feud, Carville turned to Fox News to taunt Piker and El-Sayed on this weekend’s edition of “Saturday in America.”

“They’re blistering me. I don’t know what I can do,” he chuckled. “I can’t take it! Please, mama, help me! Such vicious people, wow!”

The Georgia-born pundit, who has been a force in Democratic Party politics since President Bill Clinton’s 1992 bid for the White House, also ridiculed Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) for telling him he was free to start his own party if he’s so repelled by the progressives in Democrats’ ranks.

Carville dismissed Sanders as a sore loser, telling Fox News, “Maybe he has some animosity because he tried twice to to get the Democratic nomination for president and he failed rather spectacularly both times.”

Calling leftists a lost cause, he added, “I can’t do anything about these people. In their life, they’ve never run anything big in their mouth.”

Last month, Carville dressed down leftists in a testy rant which played at Politicon, calling democratic socialists “so fucking stupid” for thinking their candidates have any hope of beating Republicans.

The veteran politico’s beef with the so-called “insurgent left” comes amid a wave of progressives and democratic socialists besting Democratic incumbents and establishment-endorsed candidates this primary season.
