iPhone Ultra leak shows foldable trim—and split-screen plan

A new leak video claims Apple’s iPhone Ultra could be a titanium book-style foldable as thin as 4.5 mm when open, with a near-creaseless hinge and a more compact camera island. The same video also points to an iOS 27 developer-code trail supporting a much-requ

A video posted to Jon Prosser’s YouTube channel has put fresh fuel on the iPhone Ultra guessing game, this time with renders that look closer to a final product—and with a promised iOS upgrade that would change how the foldable is used, not just how it looks.

Prosser. who is currently facing a legal fight with Apple over allegedly leaking iOS 26 trade secrets. published another Front Page Tech video. In it, he says the footage shows what could be the final design of the purported iPhone Ultra. The claims are paired with points in iOS 27 developer code. which Prosser presents as evidence of both the device itself and a feature iPhone users have asked for “for years.”.

The renders describe a book-style foldable. When closed. Prosser calls it a “chunky iPhone.” When opened. it turns into something closer to an “iPad.” That core concept isn’t new. What is new—or at least more specific—is the claimed thickness when unfolded: the phone could measure just 4.5 mm. Prosser places that in direct comparison with iPhone Air’s 5.6 mm.

The body is described as titanium, and the hinge design gets most of the visual emphasis. Prosser characterizes it as an “over-engineered hinge” built to create a near-creaseless display. He also says Apple has been working on the underlying hinge technology for quite some time. and that it has already faced a couple of setbacks.

The new iPhone Ultra renders also suggest two color options: white and black (or a dark gray finish). Prosser notes that many of the big-picture details have shown up in earlier reporting, but the update shifts attention to smaller design choices—especially along the edges.

One of the changes Prosser points to is the placement of the physical controls. In the new renders, volume buttons appear on the top frame. In a previous December video—also from Front Page Tech—Prosser had called the foldable the “iPhone Fold. ” and the power button with integrated Touch ID had been at the top of the smartphone. right above the camera bar. with the display facing outward.

In the new version, that top edge looks different. The power button moves to the right frame. in the spot where most iPhones place it normally. but with an unusual twist: it’s located on the bottom half of the foldable. Prosser’s description makes clear this isn’t the familiar iPad-like button layout people may be expecting. and it would likely require adjustment when switching between folded and unfolded use.

The camera area also looks tighter. Prosser points to a more compact “camera visor” that doesn’t stretch across the entire width of the rear panel. Instead, it reportedly extends only around the dual rear-facing camera module, lifting the sensors above an otherwise flat panel. The effect. in the renders. is meant to create a more seamless look—an intentional change from the older version shown in the December leak. where the camera island looks more elongated and covers more of the back.

The iPhone Ultra leak isn’t only about hardware, though. It’s the iOS feature claim that could reshape expectations for what the foldable is for day-to-day. Prosser says iPhone Ultra will bring split-screen multitasking to iOS. He adds that it would reportedly be exclusive to the foldable. meaning the feature would not arrive on a current iPhone—even if that iPhone supports iOS 27.

That exclusivity is where the developer-code details come in. Prosser says Apple is building toward it in iOS 27. citing strings like “fold state” and “angle degrees” surfacing in the developer beta. After WWDC 2026, he also says Apple told developers to prepare for a dynamic range of screen sizes and aspect ratios. If Prosser is right. the iPhone Ultra would be the first iPhone able to run two apps side by side in this split-screen approach.

Some other claims in the leak remain consistent with earlier talk. Prosser reiterates that the iPhone Ultra could come with an A20 chip and a C2 modem with satellite-based 5G connectivity. He also repeats a price tag “north of $2. 000.” Whether the device includes Touch ID and a Camera Control button remains unclear from this material.

Prosser also points to timing: a September 2026 launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max seems likely, he says.

Between the shifting button placement. the slimmer unfolded thickness. the updated camera visor design. and the promise of split-screen multitasking locked to the foldable. the leak lands on a simple question: whether Apple’s first real attempt at this kind of iPhone form factor is close enough to the finish line to make iOS finally work the way users have wanted.

  1. Not gonna lie I hate the idea of a foldable iPhone. Like yeah cool hinge but it’ll still be a screen you have to baby. Also Jon Prosser is always leaking stuff so who knows if this is even accurate.

  2. Split-screen plan sounds like iOS 27 finally fixing iPhones being stuck in one app. But why call it “Ultra” if it’s basically an iPad when opened? That makes no sense to me, Apple labels are getting weirder. Also 4.5 mm titanium is probably marketing math.

  3. Apple lawyers are literally in here fighting over iOS trade secrets and people are acting like this is confirmed? I saw somewhere it’s gonna fold like a little book but then the camera island part?? That’s where it gets bulky right? I feel like Prosser just stitches together random code and everybody runs with it.
