The Merritt Island Family Festival is scheduled for June 6 and June 7 in Brevard County. Florida. bringing together noted Space Coast bands and artisans. a lineup of foods from local culinary creators. arts & crafts. and community vendors. Organizers say the activities are designed to reflect the area’s waterways and “ocean-minded” brands.
On Sunday, June 7, legendary reggae band Inner Circle will perform at the amphitheater stage at Veterans Park. The group is known for the famous hit “Bad Boys Bad Boys.” The festival lists an Inner Circle set time of 7 p.m.
Saturday, June 6 will feature chart-topping singer-songwriter Landon McNamara. Described as a Hawaiian artist blending soulful reggae. rock. and island vibes. Festival information says that attendees wearing a SpaceX shirt will receive a 20% discount on gate admission on June 6 and June 7. The discount is described as being set up exclusively for SpaceX employees to honor SpaceX’s contributions to the Space Coast and its plans for Starship at Pad 39. which is currently under construction.
Inner Circle’s place in the lineup isn’t just another booking. The festival says the band—one of reggae’s most enduring and influential groups—has been shaping the genre for over five decades. Inner Circle is playing at Veterans Park? That’s awesome but I swear this is the same park that always has parking issues. Hopefully they fix the traffic cuz June is already packed.
Wait Landon McNamara won the Eddie Aikau trophy? Isn’t that like a music thing? I thought Eddie Aikau was a singer or something. Either way reggae + surf sounds fake but also I might go.
This festival says “ocean-minded” which is just code for beach advertising lol. Still, food village and tastings sound good. If Inner Circle is really doing 7 p.m. and Landon is Saturday, I can’t do both days but I’m probably showing up anyway and winging it.
