Hurts leans on repetition as Eagles reshape offense
Hurts comfort – Jalen Hurts says Organized Team Activities are helping him get comfortable in the Eagles’ revamped offense, with Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator and Parks Frazier joining as quarterbacks coach. Hurts points to repetition, coaching, and one-on-one work as
The Eagles’ offseason has a familiar feel for Jalen Hurts, but the voices in the room are new.
Sean Mannion has taken over as offensive coordinator, and Parks Frazier has been brought in as the quarterbacks coach. Hurts, the starting quarterback, insists the work right now is about adjusting to a new way of doing things. When asked if he’s comfortable in the offense, Hurts pointed straight to the point of Organized Team Activities: repetition.
“Yeah, the comfort comes with the repetition,” Hurts said. “The comfort comes with the teaching and the time on task to what you’re doing. And so you just want to continue to build in those areas. I think it’s been the same for me every year when it comes to coaching points. intention. vision. what are we really trying to drive what we’re doing. And so just really having a listening ear. asking questions. getting
answers. going out there and repping it. feeling it. seeing different looks. seeing different coverages. knowing what to adjust to with the field. So obviously a different voice, different perspective of the game, and every OC has added their own flavor on it. I think another component is quarterback coach, too, because that’s something that’s changed along with the play caller. So, just being able to adjust to all those things, filter it out, figure
it out as time goes.”.
In Hurts’ view, the adjustment isn’t just happening in team meetings or walkthroughs. He said the one-on-one work with Frazier has helped him keep developing as a quarterback. “Parks has been great,” Hurts said. “I’m excited to see what the summer brings and training camp brings so we continue to grow.”.
The timing matters. The Eagles had a disappointing 2025 season for the offense. and Hurts is trying to ensure this offseason turns into something more than improvement-by-words. He believes things are going to be better in 2026. banking on the offseason grind—teaching. question-and-answer. time on task. and repping the system until it starts to feel natural when the pace picks up.

So basically he’s just saying “reps” a lot? Cool cool.
I don’t care who the quarterbacks coach is, if the offense was bad last year then it was bad. They keep saying 2026 like that automatically fixes it.
Sean Mannion coming in and suddenly it’s gonna click? Mannion was like, a backup forever right? Maybe the problem was playcalling and not Hurts so idk. Also “organized team activities” sounds like practice commercials lol.
The headline makes it sound like Hurts is “leaning on repetition” which feels like a polite way of saying nothing new. But then he’s talking about listening, questions, and different coverages? Sounds like every QB ever. I just want to see points on the board when it matters, not just “time on task” during the offseason. Eagles fans better not get fooled again this time.
